Lois Jedlovec Obituary

Lois Marie Jedlovec

Born: March 10, 1933

Died: September 23, 2020

Lois Marie (Lenertz) Jedlovec passed away on September 23, 2020 at the age of 87, after a long illness. Lois grew up in West Chicago, Illinois with two younger brothers, where she attended high school and participated in cheerleading, track, and the journalism club. She began her early career as a young professional with the FBI, before she married Robert (Bob) Jedlovec in 1952 and moved to Stickney were she and Bob lived for 63 years until his death in 2015. Her health deteriorated after his death and she spent several years in an assisted living facility and more recently a nursing home in Huntsville, Alabama.

After she raised her family, Lois re-established her career as a bookkeeper for several different local companies. Lois enjoyed bowling (participated in the Saint Pius X and other bowling leagues for many years), working puzzles, reading and traveling to see her family.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jedlovec. She is survived by her two sons; Donald, an engineer and photographer, who resides in Fremont, California, and Gary, NASA scientist, and his wife Bridget, who reside in Huntsville, Alabama; three grandsons, Benjamin, Phillip (PJ), and Dylan whose passions for math, statistics, baseball, and religious service have spread them throughout the country; and three great granddaughters, Juliet, Lucy, and Zellie, children of Benjamin and his wife Amy.
