Gonzalo F. "Gonzo" Arancibia Sr., age 49, of West Chicago, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010. He was born on September 25, 1960 in Bolivia, South America to Edma and Hugo Arancibia. Gonzalo was a loving family man. He was a great musician who loved to play the guitar and enjoyed the summertime cooking out for everyone. He is survived by his mother, Edma Jankowski of West Chicago; son, Gonzalo Arancibia Jr. of Aurora and daughter, Heather Arancibia of West Chicago; one grandson, Anthony Calcagno and granddaughter, Elissandra Arancibia; one brother, Ben Jankowski of AZ; brother-in-law, Jamie Rincones of St. Charles; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Hugo; grandmother, Adela Martinez and brother-in-law, Robert Matthew Rincones. Visitation Friday, May 14, 2010 from 3 to 9 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago.
