George Mylon Fisher, age 76, of Wilmington, IL passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Heritage Health Care in Dwight.
Born February 23, 1942 in Berwyn, IL to the late Mylon and Clara (nee Veasman) Fisher. On December 29, 1961 he married Judith Hobart at St. Barbara's Church in Brookfield, IL. George was a Welder/Quality Inspector for U.S. Hose for over 50 years until his time of passing. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, IL and loved working on cars, camping with his family, but most of all was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
Survived by his wife, Judith Fisher; children, Jennifer (Daniel) Krueger of Pontiac, IL, Scott (Carol) Fisher of Darien, IL and Beth (Angelo) Simonelli of Braidwood, IL; grandchildren, AJ, Kristen, Steven, Marie, Nick, Brent, Caitlin and Sarah; sister, Ruth Flowers of Lowell, IN; and brother, Mylon (Carolyn) Fisher of Lisle, IL.
Preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Edward Flowers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10:00 am at Assumption Catholic Church, Coal City, IL with Father Robert Noesen officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood. Visitation will be at R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, October 26 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be directed to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
