Ernest "Ernie" Dalpos, age 99, longtime resident of Lemont, at rest September 25, 2015 at Our Lady of Angels home in Joliet. Born March 15, 1916 in Chicago to the late Antonio and Anna (nee Voltarel) Dalpos.
Proud veteran of WW II United States Army Air Corp. Retired owner/operator of A. Dalpos & Sons Building Contractors in Lemont. Former director of Lemont National Bank for 27 years, Lemont volunteer fireman and Lemont JC's man of the year. Awarded the Lemont Chamber of Commerce O of utstanding Citizen award in 1997 of which he was a founding member.
Beloved husband of Gloria nee Drifus; loving father of Anton "Tony" (Paula) of New Hampshire and Richard "Rick" of Las Vegas; devoted grandfather of Carol and Ben (Megan); dearest brother of Rosemary Filotto and Irene Pareti.
Preceded in death by his sons, Thomas and Robert; brothers, Albert, Joseph and John; sisters, Genevieve and Helen; and his parents.
Funeral Mass was held Wednesday September 30, 2015, at St. Alphonsus Church with interment following at the Church cemetery.
