Joanna and I are so deeply sorry for the loss of Del from your lives and from the lives of so many, including us. There will be many well deserved remembrances over the next few days and weeks and we want to add our own to those.
Del has always inspired Joanna and me in so many ways. Her presence at nearly every family event, including some loud and late night music venues for her grand children and many other events. But her presence is more than that; for us, her presence has always been this wonderful 'come alongside someone' presence.
She has stood beside so many of us in simple and often profound ways and in those, we felt loved, supported, appreciated and encouraged. She leaves a legacy of many, many people who I'm sure can say similar things of appreciation for this woman who was so 'present' in our lives.
We will carry Del in our hearts and memories through the remaining days of our lives - and in this way her life lives on in us.

Your mother was such a wonderful person. I loved both of your parents for hosting our youth group so many times at their home. They always made time for the high school kids and they always made me feel welcomed, especially your mom. She was funny and loving. I can only imagine what a huge loss this is to your family. I hope all the wonderful memories of her comfort you during this time of loss. I feel very fortunate to have known her. She will be missed! Hugs to all of you.
