In memoriam
Barbara Willsie Sender
August 14, 1929 - March 25, 2009
To Mom...
Today is your birthday,
87 years young.
Your children remember
Your sweet smile, your raspy voice, your funny naivet .
The years added softness to your
character.
As physical pain became
a daily burden,
you never complained,
you just kept smiling.
You left us in March of 2009.
We smile with each thought of you,
Though it is a bittersweet memory,
with just a tinge of sadness
at the edges.
But like you, we smile through.
We love you, we miss you more
than words can express.
You are in our hearts forever.
Happy Birthday, Mom.

There are so many times I just wanted to pick up the phone for a little advice, or drop by to watch bull riding with you. You went through much pain and misery, but in the end, you overcame all that.
I love and miss you mom :(
