Today I was saddened to learn of Tom's passing & frankly I am stunned. I worked in the Indianapolis office for First Chicago NBD when Tom was the head of Corporate Security. Tom was a great person & wonderful role model for me in the early stages of my career. Tom was always approachable and made me feel that working for Corporate Security was a big deal! My sincere condolences to all his family. He will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him.

Our favorite memory of Tom was at swim meets. He got the chant going every time: "Let's go LT!!!!!" He almost made us forget we were there for DGN :) He was so proud of his whole family!!! He will missed by so many.

Tom was always one of my favorite people to visit at Aon Center on my work trips to Chicago. His warm smile and pleasant demeanor always warmed up a cold winter day! I always left his office thinking...we need more people like Tom Begg in the world. On behalf of all of Tom's friends at Piedmont Office Realty Trust, we extend our deepest condolences-

Dear Karen, Allison, Colleen and families,
I was taken aback today when I heard about Tom's death. I'll always recall him proudly cheering on the LTHS swim team. He always had such a positive attitude and was so supportive of all of the swimmers. I'm sure you will miss him every day, but know that you have many great memories that will live on.
Your family is in my thoughts.

Dear Karen and Family,
I was very saddened to hear of the loss of Tom. He was a great success as a husband, father, businessman, and community member. I can remember the many adventures of our youth and how I looked up to Tom as a role model. Although, I did not have significant contact with Tom and the family in recent times, I did appreciate the great warmth, caring, and kindness that Tom and the family shared with me when we did get together.
I can also remember Tom as the consummate story teller (a Conrad trait!) and can remember the great stories that Tom shared as the Director of Security at the Aeon building where he was able to help plan the security for President Obama on his frequent meetings at the building!
Please know that my thoughts are with you at this difficult time and please do not hesitate to call if there is anything that I can do to help support you.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Begg family. My mom was best friends with Tom's mom Betty and his dad Tom Sr. I remember being with the Begg family on so many occasions. Cathy and I went to school together; I have a lot of fond memories. I remember how proud Tom Sr was of his son and always talked about his accomplishments. May he RIP and please know, you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.
