Thomas Uhlich Obituary

Thomas S. Uhlich Sr.

Thomas Sutherland Uhlich Sr., 68, of Punta Gorda Florida, formerly Riverside, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his life, Jackie Krohn and close family on Monday, August 20th 2018.

He was an air traffic controller in the 1st Aviation Brigade- which was a prestigious unit at that time. Tom is still well known as PH6, which became his very famous call sign among his comrades. Tom departed Tay Ninh and left behind his call sign painted on the runway, which can still be seen today.

Tom was revered as a mentor and friend to everyone he came into contact with, both in business and his personal life. His contribution to the Industry will be greatly missed.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert (Bill) Uhlich and Barbara Sutherland Uhlich.

He is survived by his loving and devoted companion and best friend, Jackie Krohn. He is further survived by his children, Kimberly Jirschele, Kimberly Laurie, Tom Uhlich Jr. and Jesse Uhlich. Grandchildren, Ashley, Morgan Logan (Laurie), Jared Uhlich and Jackie's grandson, Shelem Vickers.
