Marvin Zimmerman
Marvin C. Zimmerman, age 77, formerly of Glen Ellyn, died August 5, in Forney, TX.
Mr. Zimmerman is survived by his children; Timothy (Trisha), of Charlotte, NC, Teresa (Lt. Col. Jeff, U.S. Army retired) Price, of Anacoco, LA, Diane Zimmerman of Forney, TX, Dan (Elizabeth) of Montgomery, IL, and Angie (Matthew) Graver of Oswego, IL; his grandchildren, Jillian, Robert, Kaylan, Jenna, Jonathon, Jackson, Benjamin and Emily; his siblings, Bill (Barb) of Monticello, IA, Joan (Don) Feeney of TN, Jim (Pat) of Monticello, IA, Edna (Robert) Engrave of TX; brother-in-law of Rachel (Paul) Frese of Lombard; and many nieces and nephews
Mr. Zimmerman served in the United States Marine Corp from 1955 to 1958. He lived in Glen Ellyn from 1982 to 2006 and then lived in Texas from 2006 to present. Mr. Zimmerman was a former member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a former Elder there, for 20 years. He retired from the US Postal Service as a Safety Specialist after almost 40 years of service. In his retirement, Mr. Zimmerman enjoyed driving a school bus for Laidlaw Bus Company. He was always good with children and coached soccer and softball at Ackerman Park in Glen Ellyn.
