I met Mr. Weigel and the Weigel Clan through Cathy in the middle 60's when we were both teenagers. Although it's been many many years, I have a clear recollection of Mr. Weigel. He always made me feel welcome in his home, and interested in what I was doing or had to say. Mr. Weigel was like that with everyone! He was one of the men who taught me what it truly meant to be a gentleman. I had a career in municipal government in a nearby community, and would frequently hear of the good job Mr. Weigel was doing as Village Manager of Westchester on behalf of the people of Westchester. He and his family were great supporters of St. Joes High School. Mr. Weigel left this world a much better place for having lived a wonderfully full and good life. I remember him well.

An unforgettable man who guided my Weigel cousins with firmness, love, passion, and intelligence. Thanks Uncle Len for the front row seat to all the holiday parties and early memories on Norfolk St. Your energy is and will always be an inspiration to us all. I will never forget you.

Dear Weigel Family,
I am sorry for your loss but must say Len had an ability to live life fully and that he did! I knew Len not only through Tom and Donna, but also through Divine Infant.
What a legacy each of you are to both Len and your mom. I know Len will be missed by all, especially his wife Kathy.
I will pray for all of you because even though you expect this, no one can replace your dad and that hurts the heart.
I was touched by your dads ability to include everyone in the conversation at all times!
Much love!

Always smiling even on the job. As Cathy's IHM friend Mr Weigel gave me my first job. Which in turn brought my Mother back into the work force a few few yrs later when she needed a challenge. Ever grateful for you Mr Weigel and your daughter Cathy, IHM and family. Love and God Bless the Weigels

To the whole Weigel family,
I knew Mr. Weigel for so so many years. He was a great role model for Rich, all of Rich's brothers, and Rich's friends as well. He will be missed but having known him for so long, you can bet he is singing with the angels.
