JOSEPH PAUL SABAN Joseph Paul Saban, of Western Springs, born May 25, 1925, in LaGrange, and passed away May 21, 2013. Joseph is survived by his loving wife Virginia, nee Holloway, of Decatur, Illinois. They met in 1945, at the University of Illinois, after Joseph served as a combat veteran, with the 8 th Air Force in WWII. After graduating, Joe and Virginia settled in Western Springs, and raised their three children, William (Paula), James and Margaret (Wayne) Smith. Devoted grandfather of Emily, Grace, Joseph, Carolyn, Stephanie, Zachary, Stephen and Samantha. Dear uncle to many. Joseph was preceded in death by his siblings, Louis, Michael, Katherine and John. A funeral mass was held Saturday, May 25 th , at St. John of the Cross Church, in Western Springs. Interment followed at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials in Joseph 's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Hallowell & James Funeral Home assisting the family. 708-352-6500
