Jenelle Swinehart

JENELLE ATHLENE SWINEHART Jenelle Athlene Swinehart, age 72 of Western Springs, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2013 in her home. She was born to the late Clarence Sekera and Helen Klosa Sekera on September 20, 1940. Jenelle attended Lyons Township High School, Albion College and the University of Michigan where she was an active member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. On August 24, 1963, she married James Richard Swinehart. Jenelle 's family was her passion and delight. She spent summers and vacations with her family, primarily in Michigan and Florida. She also loved to garden and eagerly awaited the thaw of spring to begin her annual flower planting sessions. She was also an avid quilter. Jenelle is survived by her husband, James, her children James Jr., David (Kathy) and Julie (Andrea Hornickle). Loving grandmother to Michael and Natalie Swinehart and Brandon, Emma and Benjamin Hornickle. Additionally, she is survived by her sister Lorelei (Alan) Maday, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be private.
