Dennis A. Kraus, Sr. Born: Dec. 5, 1941; Oak Park, IL Died: Feb. 1, 2014; Huntley, IL Dennis A. Kraus, Sr., age 72, of Huntley, formerly of Addison, passed away Saturday February 1, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 5, 1941 in Oak Park, IL the son of Fred and Clara (Pech) Kraus. Dennis proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked many years as a mold maker and most recently worked for General Plating in Addison as a Truck Driver enjoying his time there very much. Dennis was an avid fisherman who made friends easily and always enjoyed a good joke especially speaking with friends on the phone. His greatest enjoyment in life, however, was spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy (Eggerding), with whom he shared a dear friendship since 7th grade; children, Kathleen (Mike) Fregeau of Plainfield, Pamela (Ray) Urban of Mesa, AZ., Dennis Jr. (Karen) of Elburn and Susie Kraus of Bloomingdale; seven grandchildren, Tryna, Colleen, Brett, Samantha, Jessica, Tyler and Jenna; nephew, Rocky Kraus; sisters-in-law, Joanne (Ralph) McDonald and Mandy Owens both of St. Charles; and brother-in-law, John (Carol) Eggerding of Georgia. Dennis is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rodney; and brother-in-law, Fredric Owens. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 10:30 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church 950 Hart Rd., Batavia with Pastor Ronald Weidler officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Visitation will be held Tuesday February 4, from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Malone Funeral Home 324 E. State St. (Rt. 38) Geneva and also at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
