Feldman, Herman - Riverside  
Herman Feldman Born: Feb. 21, 1927; in South Fallsburg, NY Died: April 14, 2015; in Tacoma, WA Herman "Hy" Feldman was born February 21, 1927, in South Fallsburg, New York and died April 14, 2015, in Tacoma, Washington. He was eighty-eight years old, active, curious and independent until his death. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served with the 24th Infantry in Japan and later a Professor of Psychology and taught at Indiana University Northwest where he taught and served as Dean of Arts and Sciences and Chancellor, and at Methodist Hospital in Gary where he was Head of Research. He was instrumental in the saving and creation of the Hoosier Prairie, a 1500 acre State Nature Preserve that is part of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. He is survived by his sons, James B. Feldman, of Tacoma, WA and Ted Feldman, of Riverside, IL; and three accomplished granddaughters, Tess, Katherine and Julia. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Herman and Mae Feldman Scholarship fund at Indiana University Northwest in Gary, through the Indiana University Northwest webpage. There will be a memorial open house at the Feldman's home at 251 Longcommon Rd. in Riverside on Friday, May 15th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Jerry A. Hoelscher Born: June 18, 1932 Died: April 13, 2015 Jerry A. Hoelscher, of Elmhurst, was born June 18, 1932. He passed away on April 13, 2015. Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joanna. His 2 daughters, Lisa and Tracy (Daniel); and his 2 exceptional granddaughters, Daley and Blair. Jerry served proudly as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. In lieu of donations, contributions to your local food pantry would be appreciated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 2nd 11am at Bethal United Church of Christ at 315 E. St. Charles Rd., Elmhurst. Annie I. Kopp Annie Isabel Kopp, age 100, of LaGrange Park, formerly of LaGrange and Western Springs, passed away April 13, 2015 at Plymouth Place. Beloved wife of the late Richard L Kopp for 70 years. Loving mother of David (Virginia) Kopp, Linda (Dean) White, John Kopp and Robert (Brenda) Kopp. Devoted grandmother of William (Michelle) Kopp, Virginia (Daren) Maloney, James (Kelli) Kopp, Jeff (Linn) Jefferson, Anne (William) Connell, Derek (Jessica) Kopp, Daniel (Marissa) Kopp, Melissa (Rob) Wilson, Gregory (Mandy) Kopp, John (Sierra) Kopp Jr., Sarah (Oleg) Kopp, Stephen, Andrew and Benjamin Kopp. Dear great-grandmother of Ryan, Jack, Bridget, David, Will, Addison, Kaerington, Lucy, Hampton, Charlie, Abigail, Sydney, Evan, Archer, Charlie, Madelyn, Jude, Ella, Claire, Seth, Parker and Isabel. As an active member of her community, Isabel was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, the LaGrange Country Club and the LaGrange Garden Club. In addition to being a homemaker, Isabel volunteered at LaGrange Memorial Hospital and was also a community nurse volunteer. She also enjoyed spending the winters in Kauai with her husband and family. A funeral service was held Monday April 20, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church in LaGrange. Philip M. Kubala Philip M. Kubala, age 84, of Westmont, formerly of Downers Grove. Beloved husband of the late Lena L. Kubala. Loving father of Susan (James) Lupo, Sandra (Charles) Ucherek, and Sharon (Larry) Trapp Rash. Dear Grandfather of Twelve Grandchildren and Eighteen Great-Grandchildren. Loving son of the late Michael and the late Stella Kubala. Philip enjoyed painting art pieces, gardening, and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A member of Lions Club International Westmont for many years, and a devoted member in past years of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Westmont. Aileen B. McDole Born: Sept. 18, 1920; in Flint, MI Died: March 10, 2015; in Taylorville, IL Aileen Berniece McDole, 94, of Taylorville, IL formerly of Springfield and Downers Grove, IL and Flint, MI died at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Meadow Manor in Taylorville. She was born September 18, 1920 in Flint, MI to Sidney R. and Hattie Merritt Story. She married John W. McDole in 1942 and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (David) Hutton of Tower Hill, IL and Marilyn (David Pashley) McDole of Oregon, WI; grandchildren, great grandchildren sisters and brothers and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Aileen was an executive secretary for Schuessler Knitting Mill in Chicago and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Downers Grove, IL. Memorial Service 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Downers Grove, IL. Graveside Service 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015, at Flint Memorial Park in Flint, MI.
