Cunningham, 100, of Tuscola, IL, formerly of Downers Grove, IL, passed away at 3:24 p.m., Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL Louise was born on October 6, 1913 in Barnes City, Iowa, the daughter of Wesley B. and Katherine M. Kelly Shepherd. Survivors include her son: Richard (Barb) Cunningham of Downers Grove, IL, daughter: Claudia Barnett of Tuscola, IL, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, nephew: Philip (Betty) Shepherd of Miami, FL, and niece: Margaret (Robert) Schmitt of Naperville, IL She was preceded in death by her brother: Ben Shepherd and son-in-law: George Barnett. Mrs. Cunningham worked as a Home Economics Teacher at Downers Grove High School North from 1957 until 1978. She received her bachelor 's degree from Iowa State University and received her master 's degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Per her wishes, no services will be held.
