RAYMOND LESTER KNAPP Raymond Lester Knapp of Pleasant Hill, California. October 23, 1916-July 17, 2013. World War II Army Veteran, formerly of Villa Park, fell asleep peacefully in the arms of Jesus, on July 17, 2013, in Pleasant Hill, California, where he had resided since December of 1998. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia (Nee Frillmann) and sister, Doris Knapp. He is survived by his brother, Robert Knapp, and sister-in-law, Lenora, of Roselle, Illinois, as well as four children, Christina, Paula, Judith, and Richard; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. His easy-going personality, work ethic in his forty-four year career at Commonwealth Edison, and his devotion to family and faith in and service to the Lord, are cherished memories of his long life. His family is sincerely grateful to his wonderful caregivers at the Chateau, and most recently at Turrin House in Pleasant Hill. Memorial service will be held Trinity Lutheran Church in Villa Park, September 7, 2013, at 11:00am.
