Michael Novosad Obituary

MICHAEL LYNN NOVOSAD Michael Lynn Novosad was born January 28, 1957, in Austin, Texas, to John and Lorene Novosad. As the son of an Air Force pilot, Michael lived on numerous air force bases, before the family settled in West Chicago in 1966. Michael graduated from West Chicago Community High School in 1975, and the University of Illinois, in 1980. Michael relocated to Needville in 1981, to be back home in Texas. Michael married his beloved wife, LaVone Pond, on September 28, 1985, in Needville, Texas. They reside in Needville, where they raised a beautiful daughter, and two handsome sons. They were also graced with a precious grandson, Cash. Michael was passionate about his family, and was a great friend to all. He was highly respected by friends, family and co-workers. Michael was a Church Elder and Trustee at St Paul 's Presbyterian Church, in Needville, TX; was a past President and current board member for CoreNet Global, Houston chapter; was a speaker at bi-monthly luncheons and Discovery Forum events; and was author of several articles, in Corporate Real Estate Leader Magazine. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Novosad, his mother, Lorene Novosad, an infant brother, Mark Novosad and his father-in-law, Gerald Pond. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, LaVone, his daughter, Heather, his son, Sean and girl friend, Rachel Font, and his son, Joshua and girl friend, Courtney Hoffman; his grandson, Cash; his mother-in-law, Jimmie Pond; siblings, Tim Novosad and wife, Kathy, Ken Novosad and wife, Michelle Patrice Novosad-Heath and husband, Jeff, and Tony Novosad and wife, Kristi; in-laws, Carlile Pond, Linda Tyler and husband, Jerry, and Rita Svatek and husband, Dale; godchildren, Avery Pond and Tristan Novosad; nine nephews, fifteen nieces, four great nephews, eleven great nieces and one great- great nephew. Friends were invited to a visitation with the family, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, June 24, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, Texas, 77471. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, Texas, 77471, with Reverend Jonathan Murray officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Tim Novosad, Ken Novosad, Tony Novosad, Carlile Pond, Jeff Heath, Dale Svatek and Jerry Tyler. Donations can be given in the name of St. Paul 's Presbyterian Church, Needville, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, Texas, 77471. Phone: 281-341-8800.
