Jane Glennon passed away on November 8, 2012 at the age of 97, in Delavan, Wisconsin. She was born Beatrice Jane Pierson in Pierson, IL in 1915 and grew up in Bement,&` IL. Beloved Mother of Martha Grush (Byron) and John Glennon (Lea-Carol); grandmother of David Glennon, Abigail Grush, Caroline Glennon Goodman, Emily Grush Federighi, Andrew Glennon and Genevieve Glennon. Jane had 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Glennon, a daughter, Kathryn Ann, and two sons, David George and Charles Edward. Jane was a graduate of the University of Illinois, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Bronze Tablet. She taught English at Atwood High School for the following two years before marrying Ed Glennon. Jane lived in Elmhurst from 1947 to 1988 where she and Ed raised their family. Jane was an active member of P.E.O., as well as The Elmhurst Women's Club where she was a former president. She also belonged to the Elmhurst Methodist Church and was known for her love of crafting bears and quilts for its annual Christmas bazaar. A memorial service was held on November 14 in Delavan.
